If you are an avid follower and Buttoneer (good on you!) then you will have heard me talking about my lovely friend Charlie. Charlie came to visit me last week, we see each other as regularly as we can, but this was the first time she had been to my hometown (we normally meet where Charlie is at University) and I was super excited to show her around and spend the whole day catching up, sharing news, chatting away all day and exploring. So, I became a tourist in my hometown. For those of you that don’t know, my hometown is Evesham, Worcestershire (yes, like the Sauce and yes like the place in Shrek the Third!)
Say Hello to Charlie…
We had a spot of lunch and headed to Evesham Country Park which has a garden centre, a farm shop, courtyard shops, restaurants etc. I love this place as it is full of such beautiful things for the home and garden and I am so glad Charlie loves these sort of places too because it meant we could explore all of the pretty bits and pieces to our hearts content! I (of course) was armed with my camera to take a few photographs so I could share them with my lovely Buttoneers!
These Katie Alice® products are gorgeous – Look at the buttoned up tea cosy and the fabulous cookie stamps!
I think I may have found a new floral range to swoon over!
I love how things are displayed here too, like these slippers in a whimsical cart…
…and I pretty much wanted to buy every single item on this table display!
Then, we pottered into the garden centre and I was so inspired by all of the flowers and plants. Spring felt like it was in the air and the colours were delightful.
I loved all of the Art too but this was my favourite…
I love the texture of the real shells glazed on to the bottom of the beach. It is so unusual and such a great idea.
I also (again, obviously) took Charlie to see my favourite Evesham landmark – The Bell Tower. Isn’t it gorgeous! (I also got a bit arty and lay on the ground to get the whole tower in the shot)
Then we grabbed a coffee and a hot chocolate in Costa before heading back to meet up with my Fiancé for tea (have you seen the size of that Custard Cream!)
It was a fabulous day and I definitely want to make some future posts about my hometown. When you walk around looking at the place you live, through someone else’s eyes, you see so much more. You see beautiful architecture and all of the little things that you would normally miss when you are hurrying around in your day to day life. I am going to be a tourist in my hometown more often and I hope you will join me here on the blog once in a while – There is so much to Evesham that I will share in the future and I am super excited to explore and discover it all with you!
What is your favourite thing about your hometown? I would love to hear all about it.
