Hello there my lovely Buttoneers! I am currently sat in our local pub writing this blog post! Hold up! Hold up! I haven’t turned into a day drinker due to stress just yet! We are currently swapping our internet provider and the cross-over didn’t go as smoothly as planned and the pub has free Wifi! This obviously resulted in a near melt down of epic proportions when I realised that I wouldn’t be able to blog at the same time as me cursing myself for not pre-writing posts and having it already scheduled. Damn my lack of the ability to get ahead of myself! Anyhoo, I have a new kind of post planned today. Over here in Eliston Button Headquarters, I love colour and right now I am loving the cheery, summery shades and happy hazy hues of this summer and find them super inspiring.
Last week I took an afternoon out of the studio to roam around seeking colour inspiration for my next crafty project and with the hope that I could get my creative juices flowing outside of new studio unboxing/building/hair pulling frustrations etc. I may have also done a spot of shopping…for research purposes of course!
Come on a Button Colour Adventure and see some of the super inspiring colour palettes I discovered…
How fabulous are those colours! I love summer collections. They are full of sunshine yellows, pops of pinks, happy orange smiles and bold beautiful blue hues. The first three photographs were all taken in Jules and I love there bold colour blocks and pretty florals, they are so recognisable to the brand. The ‘Every day is an Adventure’ bag was a near purchase in Accessorize. As most of you know I love the word adventure this year and it seemed pretty perfect. The perfectionist in me hated that the beautiful wording and type was covered by the handle attachment! Darn! The final two amazing colour explosions were in a shop called Cornucopia and I wanted to buy the whole shop! Not only was it beautifully designed and curated inside but they were so friendly and that goes a long way here at Eliston Button. Those retro telephones were so gorgeous and those fabulous Emma Bridgewater melamine lemon print picnic/garden set was to die for.
What is your favourite colour palette from my Button Colour Adventure? I would love to hear all about it!
