Hello lovely Buttoneers! We are moving house very, very soon and it’s both super exciting and super stressful! Before I pack up my laptop and the final bits and pieces of the Eliston Button Headquarters get smushed into the last few boxes and packing taped up within an inch of their lives (I am a bit of a tape-every-corner-sealed-super-tight-nothing-will-wreck-my-stuff kinda girl) I wanted to share one more Create 30 make with you all and then I can relax, safe in the knowledge that if I don’t have my internet up and running in the new house for a while, that I will still be on track to get them all out before June! Yikes! (Major fingers crossed – about the internet and making all of the things before June) Crikey, time without internet…it doesn’t bare thinking about!
Whilst I was packing up the studio I realised that I am a massive craft supply and stationery hoarder.
I had collected so much in the time we were in this house. I had saved pretty paper bags for scrapbooking, tidied away duplicate pens, fine liners, glue sticks and stickers just in case mine ever ran out. I had hidden away notebooks and new paintbrushes and stored Christmas crafts away for the winter like a squirrel hiding nuts. I had collected together stashes of beautiful papers from craft magazines and found pockets of the studio filled with more ‘spare’ balls of yarn than I’d like to admit.
Hello…my name is Rachel and I am a massive craft supply and stationery
Well…Admitting to the problem is the first step…right?
So whilst trying to bat away comments from my fiancé that I should open my own craft store (I mean, come on…that means I would have to part with it all! Silly boy! What do boys know anyway!?) I had a flash of inspiration – I wasn’t a hoarder…I was an ENTHUSIAST! (That could be a thing…yes?)
I grabbed my pens and pencils (not the spare ones of course – that would ruin them, silly!) and got to sketching!
I wanted to create fun and colourful ideas for new prints for the new future Eliston Button Headquarters, which of course in turn became a super fun Create 30 make! Hooray!
So without further ado…Here is Create 30 – No. 18 & 19 – Craft Supply and Stationery Enthusiast Prints…
Pens, pencils, buttons and beads…Sewing machines, cotton spools, needles and yarn…Glue guns and glue sticks and scissors galore! You’re not a craft supply hoarder – No way! You are simply a Craft Supply Enthusiast! Hooray!
Well, join the club – I’m the president! I understand that you absolutely *need* all ten pairs of those scissors and that, yes indeed you really *must* collect all of the colours and shades of the rainbow in marker pens, cotton reels and yarn – I mean, come on!
What sort of animal leaves the craft store with only three jars of buttons and only six tubes of paint?
A Craft Supply Enthusiast print is a must-have for any craft lover or designer maker for their creative space, craft room or even their living room (which is also probably great storage for some of those stray balls of wool and a few spare buttons!) It is sure to be a funny talking point for anyone who truly knows what you are like when it comes to resisting those craft store bargains!
Perfect for any maker or crafter, knitter or sewer, painter or illustrator, artist or designer or just wonderfully creative people everywhere.
This super fun Craft Supply Enthusiast print adds a splash of colour and a great creative statement to any home or crafty space as a reminder that it is fabulous to have such enthusiasm for something you are so passionate about, whilst making you smile at the same time!
Brightly coloured tools of crafty goodness (or weapons of mass creation as I like to call them!) have been hand illustrated and then digitally rendered to give a clean crisp outline before being coloured with a range of beautiful shades of happy colours.
From glue guns and glue sticks, to paint tubes and brushes, buttons and scissors and coloured pencils are all scattered across the print, there is something for everyone!
There is even a sewing machine and cotton spools, yarn for crochet and knitting and did I mention buttons(!?)
Maybe instead you are a Stationery Enthusiast? Pencils and pens, drawing pins shaped like buttons, paperclips big and small…Sharpeners and crayons and glue sticks…rubbers, erasers, scissors and sticky notes…rulers and highlighters and marker pens galore! You’re not a Stationery Hoarder – No way! You are simply a Stationery Enthusiast! Hooray!
A Stationery Enthusiast print is a must-have for any stationery lover, office supply collector or designer maker for their creative space, office wall, cubicle partition, craft room or even their living room!
(Which is also probably great storage for some of those stray ball point pens and a few spare paperclips!)
Just like the Craft Supply Enthusiast version, this print is sure to be a funny talking point for anyone who truly knows what you are like when it comes to resisting those stationery shop bargains! Perfect for any gel pen collector, maker or crafter, illustrator, artist or designer or just wonderful treasure collecting people everywhere.
I understand that you absolutely *need* all ten pairs of those scissors and that, yes indeed you really *must* collect all of the colours and shades of the rainbow in marker pens, pencil crayons, and novelty erasers – I mean, come on! What sort of monster leaves the stationery shop with only two boxes of colourful drawing pins, three boxes of metallic giant paperclips and only one pack of coloured marker pens?
Just like the Craft Supply Enthusiast print, brightly coloured stationery goodness (or weapons of mass creation and organisation as I like to call them!) have been hand illustrated and then digitally rendered to give a clean crisp outline before being coloured with a range of beautiful shades of happy colours.
From writing a thousand to-do lists to having erasers shaped like fruit, from marker pens in every colour and shade of the rainbow to the most colourful collection of paperclips, they are all scattered across the print, there is something for everyone!
There is even a note to self, purple handled scissors and did I mention drawing pin buttons(!?) that are lovingly illustrated around the outside of the print.
On both of these super quirky prints the word ‘Hoarder’ has been humorously crossed out by one of the pink highlighter pens which has also naughtily scribbled across the page on the Stationery Enthusiast version too! The word ‘Hoarder’ has been replaced by the word ‘Enthusiast’ because; surely it isn’t a hoarding problem if the items are all used…at least once a year…right? The dark type with its deep, hard edges contrasts beautifully with the free flowing hand lettering which softens its appearance, while the fun bright colours catch your eye and make you smile!
Each colourful, fun print is A4 size which is approx. 29.7 x 21cm. The print you will receive will be printed on to a high quality card with rich coloured inks ensuring a high quality print.
These prints are Ready to Ship but if you would prefer a different colour palette, please do not hesitate to contact me for a chat about your ideas or with a custom order – How exciting!
As always, all of my handmade products are shipped out to you carefully wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon tied in a bow before being lovingly placed into protective packaging, so are perfect for gifts for yourself or for your family and friends!
So there you go! I really love these prints and might even go as far as saying they may be among some of my absolute favourites! Which one is your favourite? Can you relate to one of these as much as I can? Maybe you have both Craft Supply and Stationery Enthusiast tendencies? I would love to hear all about it!
