My lovely friend Charlie and I met at University about two and a half years ago and we knew we would become great friends. We clicked. When I left university about two months in to my course, we vowed to always keep in contact. So, we started writing to each other. We are both a bit of an old soul and loved the idea of keeping in touch via good old fashioned snail mail – remember that?
Last week when I received Charlie’s letter I was surprised to feel it was bumpier than usual. I excitedly opened it up and out slid this…
Holy cow was I excited! My Buttoneer senses were tingling!
Just look at these beauties by Kikkerland!!
Button push pins for my cork memo board. WOW.
I know I am a total hoarder of all things I may be able to use in a crafty way – I am ‘that crafty kid’ after all – so you wont be surprised to hear that I cut off the back of the packaging! I love the button pattern on the clear plastic packaging, especially when I held it up against things around my studio. It was like I was creating different patterned buttons! I just know I will try to use this for something extra crafty.
I was also probably the kid at Christmas that played with the box packaging for a long time before the actual gift.
Straight away (after playing with the packaging) I had to try them out on cork board and they looked amazing. They pushed into the cork like a dream and held different thickness’ of card, paper and fabric really well – just what you need out of a push-pin but with added fabulous!
I love how they brighten up my memos and reminders, the gorgeous red and pink hues are delightful and so fun to look at, even attached to my boring shopping list!
How cool are these? Do you have any button related products you can tell me about?
