For years now, My sister and I have said “Meet me in Paris” if things got tough or boring or even just when we felt like a bit of adventure. We don’t ever meet in Paris, but just that one line made things feel a little better.
It feels like adventure is just around the corner or we have a ‘get out of jail free’ card to just pack a bag to explore and let go.
It’s not that we are going to go right there and then, but more of a sigh of relief or a little sign to the other that say “It’s okay, it’s going to get better”.
So, at Christmas, when my sister gave me a little iron Eiffel Tower, I loved that it was a small nod to our little private joke. However, this little Eiffel Tower was also a little rubber stamp! (she knows me so well!) I was super excited and when I was organising my studio over the weekend, I realised that I hadn’t tried it out. I fell in love with the intricacy of this little stamp, the delicate lace border, the beautiful font that says ‘Bonjour’ and not to mention the fact it looks amazing on my desk. Anyone that knows me, knows I love France, so this was just perfect for me and I knew I had to share this with you!
It was a really great stamp, the ink stayed on all the parts it was supposed to and didn’t touch any low relief areas. The print was clean, crisp and really pretty. Definitely one of my favourite stamps!
Does this stamp inspire you as much as it inspires me? What is your favourite stamp in your collection?
