Good afternoon Buttoneers! Do you remember that time that I shared my Washi Tape Collection with you here on the blog!? Do you remember my promise to show you how I love to use my Washi Tape? Well, my lovely Buttoneers, Here is one of my favourite ways to use the gorgeous, patterny, colourful goodness that is Washi Tape – Bunting. Now who doesn’t love bunting?
Bunting is fun, oh so pretty and reminds us of a simpler time of cups of tea and clotted cream scones (way before they told us they were bad for you) on the village green whilst listening to the brass band play ‘somewhere over the rainbow’…
You are there right now aren’t you? Sat in your tea dress, admiring the handsome young fellow that is giving you a dashing smile, waiting for him to ask you to dance as you blush and turn your head away ever so coyly…maybe that’s just me?
Now you want to make Washi Tape bunting!
The first time I fell in love with Washi Tape bunting was when I desperately needed something to add a playful splash of colour to a chocolate cake I made last year for my sisters birthday. She loves bunting but I couldn’t find any small enough to be able to put on sticks to poke into the cake. So, I used my creative imagination and made these! I love how they add a real celebration feel to the cake and are to scale with those adorable little bathing pigs!
Isn’t Washi Tape bunting just the cutest!? I love the fact you can change it every time by just using different coloured or patterned Washi Tape. You could even make it to match a colour theme at a birthday party or even a wedding!
How will you use your Washi Tape bunting? What would you decorate? Feel free to send me photos of your makes using any of my tutorials, I would love to see them and share them with all of the other lovely Buttoneers!
I can’t wait to see your versions!
