Hello Buttoneers! About a week after we moved house, we popped into town for supplies and of course this meant I had to pop into a few charity shops! On my thrifty adventure I came across five bags of buttons! Buttons!! Who throws away buttons!? So, naturally I had to
buy save them.
I got them home with high hope of organising them and my imagination running wild with the possibilities of crafty makes and finding vintage beauties to cherish forever. However, the move was bigger than we could have ever imagined and they got put to one side in the Eliston Button Headquarters…until now! AND, I got to play around with a little bit of stop motion animation! It was super fun and I am still learning but I am proud of my first attempt!
I also had a heap of fun organising my buttons into coloured piles and figuring out the bluey-greens and the orangey-reds!
Some of the metal buttons are my favourites; I love the daisy one below!
There is definitely something really relaxing about sorting buttons into colours for me. This is my happy place! Now I just need to keep my eyes peeled for new, exciting and beautiful buttons in packs or tins or boxes, hidden away ready for crafty adventures!
Did you watch my stop motion animation? What did you think? Have you got a system for organising you can share with us all? I would love to hear all about it!
Meet me for a chat with a cup of tea in the comments below. I’ll click the kettle on!
