Hello there lovely Buttoneers! It has just occurred to me that not only have I not created a Workspace Wednesday post for sooooo long but also that my workspace has changed dramatically from my banner image now that the Eliston Button Headquarters has moved! The studio is still in a deep state of incomplete. There are still boxes unpacked and flat pack to be made and organisation solutions to be figured out but I am okay with this for now. It is on the to-do list with the completion of the rest of the house. I think we did so much packing and unpacking from all of the house problems we had that we kind of fizzled out a bit and wanted to steal our lives back! So, watch this space…You will be the first to see the new Eliston Button Headquarters as soon as it is finished.
Anyhoo, today I wanted to share with you my new adorable little cute love stamps that I found in an equally as adorable independent fabric shop near where I live. As timing would have it the crafty fairies were on my side and allowed me to justify the purchase as it was Valentine’s Day coming up and they were just perfect for stamping on to handmade cards and notes.
Hooray for lovely-dovey stamper sets that are super-duper cute!
Not only are they the cutest couple of wooden people with little toad stall looking hats but they have lovely typography on the stamped words too! I have found it to be quite rare with novelty stamps to have such a lovely font (maybe I am looking in the wrong places) but these are delightful and make me smile every time I see them sat on my desk. The only exception to this is the gorgeous ‘Bonjour’ stamp that I shared in my ‘Meet Me In Paris‘ blog post way back near the start of this crafty little space of the internet.
They stamp really well too, I may have got a little ink happy when applying for this photograph but they were lovely to stamp on to the page and I bet would look great in red ink on a Valentine’s Day card! I really love the white on black contrast too and may need to play around with this in a future crafty project.
Aren’t they super adorable!? I just had to share them with you! I love that they are made out of solid wood too. I love when things are made out of natural materials and feel like good value for money. Have you found any cute novelty stamps on your crafty adventures? What would you like to see written on a stamp? I would love to hear all about it!
