Hello there you lovely Buttoneers! Its been a long while since we had a Workspace Wednesday because of all of those ’27 before 27′ blog challenge posts and it’s lovely to welcome it back. I am just popping in today to show you what the Eliston Button Headquarters currently looks like after the big move. Buckle up! its a bit of a scary ride!
As you can see I am in a total mess of boxes and need to build up my storage and shelving units again, which is a bit tricky as I have a room full of boxes! This leads me to my shout for a time out.
I am exhausted. I announced on my birthday that I was taking a week off to move house and refresh my ideas and come back with a clean slate, fresh mind and feeling relaxed. I was naive to think I was going to be unpacked and ready to go in that week as well as rest. I spent the whole week moving, unpacking the essentials and then head first into writing 27+ descriptions ready for my Etsy launch, figuring out polices and shipping and pretty much crash landing into a place called now. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy every second (well, maybe every other second) that I create this little creative biz but I didn’t realise that when people said that I was crazy to do all of this in one go…they were kinda right. I am therefore, taking a short break to start to get the studio set up, I can’t concentrate let alone be all crafty in this box city so I am going to create my crafty haven. I am going to sit in the garden and be still. I am going to sleep and not worry about my work. I am going to relax, recuperate and hopefully get this exhausted, drained mind and body back on track to give you quality blog posts, give you cared about items for the shop. I am going to come back with a bang of fresh thoughts and most importantly get back my enjoyment for this little creative biz that I love so dearly, that just needs a time out for a bit so I don’t fizzle out, not to mention be able to find which box I packed my buttons in and which box I packed my crayons in!
Meanwhile, did you catch the Etsy Advert on UK Televisions a few weeks ago? It made me feel very proud to be part of this handmade industry with all of these fabulous creative beings. You can see it below but be sure to keep an eye out for the last ten seconds of the advert 😉 #peoplemakeetsy
Thank you so so much for your love and understanding Buttoneers! See you in a while and don’t forget to grab a cup of tea and explore the Eliston Button Etsy shop!
I would love to hear all about your thoughts on the shop! Any ideas on great crafty storage for the new headquarters? You know what to do!
